Job Overview

The role of Backend Engineer at our organization is to design, build, and maintain the services and systems that power our products.

This involves collaborating closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to solve complex problems, scale our systems, and deliver features that directly impact our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and building scalable backend systems: Creating APIs, services, and data pipelines to support our mobile and web applications.
  • Ensuring reliability and performance: Optimizing system architecture to handle rapid growth and large-scale user activity.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally: Working with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define, develop, and deploy new features.
  • Writing clean, maintainable code: Following best practices in software development, testing, and documentation.
  • Owning deployment and monitoring: Managing services from development to production, ensuring high availability and quick incident response.
  • Improving continuously: Staying updated on new technologies, tools, and best practices to keep our systems modern and efficient.
Requirements:
  • 3–5 years of backend development experience, ideally in designing, building, and maintaining production systems.
  • Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, and system design.
  • Proficiency in .NET Core.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Hands-on experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Passion for building reliable, secure, and high-performance systems.
  • Team-oriented mindset: open to feedback, willing to help others, and collaborative in problem-solving.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with other backend languages such as Java, Kotlin, Go, or Node.js.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
