Job Title: IPTV Network Engineer

We are seeking a talented and experienced IPTV Engineer to join our organization. As an IPTV Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IPTV systems and services.

Responsibilities include designing and architecting IPTV systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications, implement and configure IPTV components, including middleware, headend systems, streaming servers, and set-top boxes. Additionally, you will integrate IPTV systems with other network components, such as content delivery networks (CDNs) and video-on-demand (VOD) platforms.

Another key responsibility is managing and ingesting video content into the IPTV system, ensuring proper encoding, transcoding, and metadata integration. You will develop and implement content delivery workflows, including live streaming and video-on-demand services, and ensure compliance with content rights and DRM (Digital Rights Management) requirements.

As an IPTV Engineer, you will also collaborate with network engineers to optimize network infrastructure for IPTV service delivery. You will configure and troubleshoot network protocols and components, such as IP multicast, VLANs, QoS, and routing. Furthermore, you will integrate IPTV systems with billing, customer relationship management (CRM), and other back-end systems.

Moreover, you will monitor and maintain the health and performance of the IPTV system, utilizing monitoring tools and analytics. You will proactively identify and resolve system issues, including network connectivity, service interruptions, and video quality problems. Finally, you will conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. We require 3+ years of experience in IPTV system design, implementation, and maintenance. Strong knowledge of IPTV technology, protocols, and standards, such as HLS, MPEG-DASH, IPTV over IP, etc., is essential. Proficiency in streaming technologies and protocols, including RTSP, RTMP, and HTTP streaming, is required. Experience with IPTV middleware platforms, such as Minerva, Mediaroom, or Amino, is necessary. Familiarity with video codecs, transcoding, and content delivery networks (CDNs) is also needed. Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including IP networking, multicast, VLANs, and QoS, is required. Proficient in scripting and automation using languages such as Python or Bash, you will possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are essential.
