Job Description:

The Cloud Support Engineer will play a key role in maintaining the stability and security of our cloud infrastructure. This involves troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure-related tickets, improving helpdesk processes, and implementing automation where possible.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and resolve infrastructure-related helpdesk tickets to ensure smooth cloud operations.
  • Maintain and provision highly available cloud environments using Terraform, Ansible, and automation tools.
  • Troubleshoot Azure and AWS cloud infrastructure components, including Virtual Machines, Networking (vNET, VPN, NSG, Firewalls, DNS), and Backup Vaults.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to optimize cloud configurations and security.
  • Implement and improve automation for infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and industry standards (ISO27001, PCI-DSS).
  • Document solutions, update the knowledge base, and continuously improve support workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud computing, specifically with Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. Strong understanding of Terraform, Ansible, and other automation tools is required. The candidate should also possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Desirable Skills:
  • Experience working with helpdesk ticketing systems (e.g., Jira) and optimizing support workflows.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, including handling common security issues in an AWS/Azure/virtualized setting.
  • Ability to automate tasks, optimize workflows, and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficiency.
  • Experience with SQL Server, SMTP, and IIS configurations.
