**Job Title:** Academic Staff Member

Responsibilities
  • Meet annual performance targets assigned by the department head.
  • Contribute to securing a high-quality teaching environment for students by working towards university-set targets.
  • Teach assigned courses according to faculty workload policy.
  • Develop own teaching skills and contribute to teaching program planning.
  • Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons.
  • Challenge thinking, foster debate, and develop critical discourse and rational thinking in students.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements as needed.
  • Set, mark, and assess student work and examinations, providing feedback.
  • Maintain student academic performance records for internal evaluation.
  • Mentor 15-20 students through the Riphah Mentoring Program.
  • Update data in virtual learning environments and required software.
  • Incorporate Islamic and ethical values into teaching and participate in departmental committees as needed.
  • E nsure teaching content and methods align with university mission and respond to subordinate and student needs.
  • Monitor student attendance in classes, labs, and practicals.
  • Write or contribute to publications and disseminate research findings through media.
  • Pursue practical applications of research findings.
  • Engage in independent research and lead projects as principal investigator.
  • Act as a line manager, supervising others in research teams and projects, or as PhD supervisor when required.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the department head.
