Job Title: Academic Staff Member - Optometry and Orthoptics Department

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Academic Staff Member to join our Optometry and Orthoptics Department. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to teaching, research, and service missions of the university. Your primary responsibilities include teaching assigned courses, conducting research, and engaging in service activities such as mentoring students and participating in departmental committees.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and teach courses aligned with optometry and orthoptics curriculum standards.
- Conduct research in optometry and orthoptics fields and publish scholarly articles.
- Engage in service activities including mentoring students and serving on departmental committees.
- Supervise student projects and field trips.
- Set, mark, and assess work and examinations while providing feedback to students.
- Maintain records of students' academic performance for internal evaluation.
- Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives related to teaching, research, and service.

Requirements
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Optometry or related field.
- Strong teaching, research, and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor students and contribute to departmental committees.
- Familiarity with VLE and other software tools used in education.
