Product Strategist

The Product Strategist plays a pivotal role in shaping and refining products, empowering development teams, and validating team deliverables. Key responsibilities include gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and support teams to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met.

Gathering product and customer requirements is essential for creating a comprehensive product strategy. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, market trends, and customer needs. Effective communication is crucial in this process, as it enables the Product Strategist to make informed decisions and prioritize features accordingly.

In addition to requirement gathering, the Product Strategist is responsible for defining the product vision. This involves working with stakeholders to establish clear goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs). The Product Strategist must also ensure that the product vision aligns with the company's overall mission and strategy.

1. Define Vision and Product Roadmap: Collaborate with Product Manager, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success Teams to define the product vision and roadmap.
2. Break Down Product Vision: Expand product vision into Epics, Features, and User Stories with Definition of Done.
3. Prioritize Features: Prioritize Epics, Features, and User Stories aligned with Business Goals and their Business Impact.
4. Support Customers and Prospects: Work with Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales teams to provide support to existing customers and new prospects by prioritizing defects or new features.
5. Estimate Story Points: Work with Engineering Team to estimate Story Points or LOE using any other method.
6. Track Progress: Employ methods to keep track of progress and bring visibility to the team's progress.
7. Organize Reviews and Testing: Organize Show n Tell, Perform Reviews, and User Acceptance Testing of the Features developed by Engineering Team.
8. Demonstrate New Features: Demonstrate and Evangelize new Product Features/Enhancements to other teams such as Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
9. Lead Product Analysts: Lead team of Product Analysts by setting Standards, Processes, and Procedures to do their job.
10. Hire and Mentor: Hire and mentor Product Analysts.
11. Contribute to Agile Ceremonies: Contribute and Lead various SCRUM ceremonies like SCRUM Planning, Daily SCRUM, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
12. Follow Agile Methodology: Follow, Implement and Promote Agile Release Train methodology.

1. Business and Technical Acumen: Ability to understand Product's Business as well as Technical sides.
2. Decision Making and Negotiation: Excellent Decision making, Prioritizing, and Negotiation skills.
3. Planning and Forecasting: Good with Planning and Forecasting.
4. Technical and Analytical Skills: Good Technical and Analytical Skills.
5. Writing and Communication: Excellent Writing and Verbal Communication as well as Comprehension.
6. Leadership and Collaboration: Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and inspire at all levels.
7. Agile Experience: Must have worked as Project Manager or Product Owner before.
8. ALM Experience: Must have used Jira, Azure DevOps, or any other ALM for managing backlogs.
9. Team Working Skills: Strong collaboration and team working skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships cross-functionally and across all levels.
10. Influence Change: Ability to influence change and lead by example.
