Senior Linux Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Principal Linux Administrator to join our Global Server Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux, troubleshooting, network and scripting skills, with a focus on developing tools to automate and support the deployment, management, and monitoring of infrastructure.

The successful candidate will take a lead role in supporting and building highly available and highly scalable solutions that empower thousands of users globally.

• Infrastructure Support: Ensure the stability and security of our infrastructure through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• System Tuning and Enhancements: Optimize system performance by implementing efficient solutions for resource allocation and utilization.
• Automation of Daily Routines: Develop scripts and tools to automate routine tasks, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.
• System Deployment: Plan, implement, and manage the deployment of new systems, ensuring seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
• Security and Audit Compliance: Enforce strict security protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Applications Scalability: Design and implement scalable applications, ensuring optimal performance under varying workloads.
• Application Redundancy: Implement high-availability strategies to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
• Deep Knowledge of Linux System: Possess in-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems, including kernel tuning and OS monitoring tools.
• Scripting: Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell (bash, ksh) and Python.
• Monitoring: Utilize public cloud services to monitor infrastructure and applications, ensuring real-time visibility and alerting.

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 7-10 years of Linux experience, with at least 5 years in Private/Public Cloud environments.
• Enterprise Linux expertise, including kernel tuning and OS monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with software project build automation and Build and Integration tools (Jenkins).
• Proficient in scripting languages (Shell and Python).
• Working knowledge of orchestration and configuration management tools (preferably Ansible).
• In-depth knowledge of public cloud services (preferably AWS).
• Good understanding of Infrastructure and security services like Load Balancing, Firewall, TLS encryption, disk encryption, etc.
• Good architectural experience in component placement for traditional 3-tier applications and microservices-based applications.
• Working experience with Linux Containerized environments (one of Open Container Initiative, Docker, CoreOS).
• Extensive experience in 'Infrastructure as Code' and automation tools (Terraform, Cloudformation, Azure Templates & DevOps).
• Extensive knowledge and experience in Application Containerization and Kubernetes Clusters (EKS/AKS, ECS).
• Offer guidance in infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers into the cloud.
• Identify top cloud architecture solutions to successfully meet company needs.
• Lead organization through cloud adoption and establish best practices.
• Familiarity with Networking concepts on Public/Hybrid Clouds (DirectConnect/ExpressRoute /VPC/VNET,VPC Peering etc.).
• Familiarity with agile methodologies in Operations and Development.
• Able to demonstrate ability to evaluate/work results in Enterprise context.
• Familiarity with basic Project Management techniques to facilitate resource and workload management.
• Ability to manage difficult situations generated by daily interactions of wide range of personalities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team management proficiency.
• Clear vision on strategy, road to success, and phases of delivery.
