We are seeking a highly skilled and responsible professional to excel as a Database Administrator. This role combines technical expertise with administrative aptitude, requiring both sound technical skills and the ability to respond promptly to database problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor system performance and identify potential issues for prompt resolution.
  • Respond timely to user-reported errors and conduct thorough troubleshooting to resolve them efficiently.
  • Protect databases from threats and unauthorized access through proactive measures and best practices.
  • Implement adequate backup and recovery measures for databases to ensure business continuity.
  • Generate metric reports on usage and performance to inform data-driven decisions.
  • Collaborate with IT project managers and database programmers to design and implement effective database solutions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Advanced certification (MCDBA or MCSD) is advantageous but not essential.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation languages such as MS SQL, Oracle Database, Hadoop, and PostgreSQL.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to tackle complex database challenges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
