Job Opportunity: Chief Development Officer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled leader to fill the position of Chief Development Officer. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a vital role in shaping the organization's vision and direction.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement strategies to secure donations and contributions in support of our organization. This includes overseeing the fund development program, monitoring development activities, and addressing any issues that may hinder growth and success.

You will work closely with our CEO, staff, and governing board to facilitate short and long-term strategic plans. This will involve identifying and addressing development challenges, fostering a culture of philanthropy, and ensuring that fund development aligns with our organization's values, mission, and vision.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to attract and retain donors and fundraising volunteers.
  • Collaborate with the CEO and senior management to plan the organization's fund development course and programs.
  • Oversight of the operations development function, including managing development activities in coordination with staff.
  • Maintain accountability and ensure compliance with all regulations and laws, as well as the code of ethics for fundraising professionals.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate fundraising volunteers to contribute to the organization's success.
