
Regional Operations Director

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create an effective organizational structure to drive branch performance.
- Develop, execute, monitor, and update at regular intervals the business plan for the branch.
- Monitor key departmental productivity indicators including Shipments Per Desk (SPD), Revenue Per Desk (RPD), Expense Per Desk (EPD), Revenue Per Shipment (RPS), and Revenue to Expense ratio.
- Instill a culture of compliance with regulations, internal policies, and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS).
- Collaborate with the management team to map and understand their department process flow, identifying areas for improved efficiency to enhance customer service and control costs.
- Ensure all customer standard operating procedures are documented and up-to-date in the database.
- Evaluate vendors at defined intervals, focusing on areas of possible improvement with corrective action plans where needed.
- Stay updated with industry knowledge by regularly reading business and trade journals and attending events.
Finances:
- Prepare the annual branch budget and review with senior management.
- Review monthly branch and department financial results, productivity, and goals.
- Improve branch cost control by reviewing, understanding, and focusing on it.
- Conduct weekly Accounts Receivable meetings to maintain payments within 30 days.
- Manage company credit procedures effectively.
- Utilize BNP to manage accounts payable to vendors.
- Resolve inter-company accounting discrepancies via AJAX reports.
- Review Daily Branch Revenue reports daily.
- Ensure contracts adhere to company contract policies before signing.
- Follow capex procedure for purchasing equipment.
- Use Top 20 Accounts report to evaluate client base development and revenue distribution, aiming for a balanced customer base.
- Drive branch growth through active sales involvement and coordination with the sales department.
- Attend weekly branch sales meetings and facilitate manager participation in the branch sales program.
- Assist in creating the annual district sales plan, ensuring alignment with budget and product business plans.
- Complete 5 Sales and/or Retention Calls per week, documenting them in databases.
- Ensure Customer Reviews are completed for customers with over $500 monthly revenue.
- Offer pricing alternatives, routing solutions, and technical assistance to clients through regional and global sales channels.
- Ensure active branch role in new business transition and continued development of existing business.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of industry-specific qualification (country-specific).
- Strong business acumen.
- Proven leadership attitude and background.
- Strong market and product knowledge.
- Effective interpersonal skills, including listening, comprehension, clear communication, and negotiation.
- Good computer skills (Excel, Word).
