Key Position:

A professional translator role is available for a skilled linguist to translate written and spoken content from Chinese to English and vice versa.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct high-quality translations with accuracy, clarity, and context in accordance with client expectations.
  • Ensure cultural awareness of both cultures to provide correct translation of references and expressions.
  • Review and revise translations to maintain correctness, grammar, punctuation, and coherence.
  • Collaborate with clients, project managers, and team members to clarify project requirements and deliver satisfactory results.
  • Manage multiple translation assignments efficiently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Provide language support for various organizational tasks, such as interpreting during meetings or conferences.
  • Maintain final translated content to meet organization's quality standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Native or near-native fluency in both Chinese and English languages.
  • Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or related field is preferred, but equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Previous experience as a professional translator, either freelance or within an agency, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in translation software and other relevant tools is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality translations.

Requirements and Expectations:

  • Familiarity with local culture and customs in Pakistan.
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Rawalpindi before starting work.
