Senior Software Engineer Job Summary

This is a high-level technical position for an experienced software engineer with expertise in PHP, MVC frameworks, and Yii.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess business requirements and estimate tasks for assigned projects to ensure timely delivery.
  • Write clean, efficient, well-documented code with high test coverage.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to guarantee successful project outcomes.
  • Optimize code for enhanced security and performance.
  • Maintain systems by resolving existing issues and updating issue tracking tools.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress to stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Control code versions using Git and similar tools.
  • Research new technologies and suggest improvements to the current technology stack.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers through training and guidance.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
  • At least four years of experience in professional software development.
  • Strong knowledge of core PHP, MVC frameworks, and Yii.
  • Experience with WordPress, JQuery, JavaScript, AJAX, and database management systems like MySQL.
  • Familiarity with unit testing, RESTful APIs, and API design patterns.
  • Understanding of security standards and compliances.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
