Job Overview

The Rigging Artist plays a vital role in empowering filmmakers to take charge of the creative process, delivering innovative and bold visual storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Rig all assets (characters, props, environments) to ensure seamless integration with the production pipeline.
  • Create 3D character rigs and animation interface controls for skeletal motion systems and body/facial deformations.
  • Develop and implement tools using Python under the direction of the VFX Supervisor, enhancing the efficiency of the workflow.
  • Collaborate with the production team, supervisors, and peers to problem-solve and share information related to show/assigned tasks and document workflows and processes.
  • Review and follow through on work in progress, dailies, briefings/notes, and feedback; document workflows and processes to ensure transparency.
  • Provide recommendations and suggestions for designs and animatics, ensuring alignment with the production schedule.
  • Meet schedule/show deadlines, participate in dailies, and attend team reviews of work in progress.
  • Create and troubleshoot simplified crowd rigs for Golaem crowd software.

Requirements:

  • Excellent technical skills in rigging, 3D modeling, and animation.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
