Contracts Engineer - Project Oversight Specialist

We are seeking a Contracts Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of complex projects.

You will be responsible for reviewing, managing, and mitigating contractual and commercial risks to ensure seamless project execution. Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality and timely review of all contract documents strictly in accordance with established processes and guidelines.
  • Discuss highlighted risks with relevant stakeholders effectively.
  • Ensure Purchase Orders or Subcontract Agreements issued to vendors are in line with customer contractual risks or requirements.
  • Facilitate awareness sessions or workshops with other department personnel to eliminate knowledge gaps regarding contractual legal terms.
  • Drafting and maintaining standard templates for procurement.
  • Ensure that risk profile dashboards are fully updated.
  • Provide consultative support to project teams while drafting various letters or notices, claims negotiation, variation orders, disputes or conflicts resolution with customers or vendors.
  • Maintain contractual logs to ensure that all reviewed contract documents are stored in the computerized system.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in contract management, governance, and compliance, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Law.
  • Strong understanding of contractual and legal frameworks, including FIDIC, NEC, PPRA, and PEC standard documents.
  • Proficiency in contract review, interpretation, and drafting.
  • Knowledge of insurance-related matters, governance, and commercial law.
