Key Responsibilities

This is a remote full-time position responsible for designing, building, testing, optimizing, and maintaining the infrastructure and code required for data integration, storage, processing, pipelines, and analytics.

The role requires a strong foundation in programming and a keen understanding of how to integrate and manage data effectively across various storage systems and technologies.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, implementing, deploying, testing, and maintaining highly scalable and efficient data architectures.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior/mid-level data engineers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Collaborating with product, engineering, data scientists, and analysts to understand data requirements and develop effective data solutions.
  • Conducting discovery on existing data infrastructure and proposed architecture to ensure seamless integration.

This role also involves evaluating and implementing new technologies and tools to improve data integration, data processing, and analysis.

Key skills and qualifications include:

  • Full-time Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • 5+ years of real-world data engineering development experience in cloud-based environments.
  • Strong expertise in Python, SQL, PySpark, and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with stream-processing systems, cloud computing, data governance, and DevOps principles.
  • Good problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
