Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction and quality products. Key responsibilities include maximizing profitability, meeting sales targets, and analyzing sales figures to forecast future trends.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Sales Performance: Monitor sales activities to ensure customers receive satisfactory service and quality products.
  2. Tour the Sales Floor: Regularly tour the sales floor, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues.
  3. Profitability: Responsible for maximizing profitability and meeting sales targets.
  4. Promotional Materials: Prepare promotional materials and displays.
  5. Market Analysis: Analyze sales figures and forecast future sales, interpreting trends to facilitate planning.
  6. Customer Retention: Retain existing customers and develop a new customer base.
  7. Business Improvement: Initiate changes to improve the business, such as revising opening hours in liaison with relevant teams.
  8. Customer Queries: Deal with customer queries and complaints and initiate appropriate actions.
  9. Pricing and Stock Control: Oversee pricing and stock control.
  10. Statistical and Financial Records: Maintain statistical and financial records.
  11. Special Projects: Complete special projects as required by senior management.
  12. Staffing Issues: Address staffing issues in liaison with HR, including interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviews, and providing training and development.
  13. Quality, Customer Service, and Health and Safety: Ensure standards for quality, customer service, and health and safety are met.
  14. Events and Promotions: Organize special promotions, displays, and events.
  15. Market Trends: Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring local competitors.
  16. Team Management: Manage and motivate a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
  17. Operational Activities: Control and monitor all operational activities of the showroom, including general management, cleanliness, repair/maintenance, etc.
  18. Task Assignment: Assign tasks to showroom staff and monitor their activities.
