Industrial Relations Managers play a vital role in ensuring smooth operations within an organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate daily activities of Industrial Relations functions and specialists
  • Set priorities for Industrial Relations specialists to ensure task completion and coordinates work activities with supervisors/managers
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of Industrial Relations procedures

Principal Duties & Responsibilities


• Direct Industrial Relations specialists to gather information as needed


• Function as group leader/manager and/or participate on special Industrial Relations projects


• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines


• Typically manage personnel and provide an environment for the development and professional advancement of staff members, including on-the-job and formal training and development opportunities, and timely performance feedback


• Leverage internal and external resources to administer policies and procedures consistently across all business lines, functions, and locations


• Analyze situations, identify and forecast pertinent problems, and evaluate realistic options; and recommend/implement appropriate course of action

Typical Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of ten years* of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to fourteen years* if non-degreed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
