This is a key role within our organization responsible for developing and implementing effective Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) strategies. We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in EHS and a proven track record of success.

Responsibilities:

  1. EHS Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance on all aspects of EHS, including risk management, certification maintenance, regulatory compliance, and performance indicators.
  2. Hazard Identification and Control: Conduct regular hazard identification and risk assessments of plant processes, and implement controls to mitigate identified risks.
  3. Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and correct potential hazards, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  4. Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate and report on all incidents, near-misses, and occupational injuries, and develop recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
  5. Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to promote a culture of safety within the organization, and raise awareness of EHS issues among employees.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Environment, or Electrical Engineering, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience.
  • Internationally recognized certifications.

Preferred Skills:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in EHS production and projects with internationally recognized certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and familiarity with national and international EHS regulations such as OSHA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001.
  • Ability to implement and maintain compliance programs.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment and hazard analysis, including conducting HAZOP, JSA, FMEA, and safety audits.
  • Ability to identify potential hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures.
  • Skilled in incident investigation and root cause analysis using tools like 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagram, or Taproot.
