Job Title: Clinical Mental Health Specialist

Overview

The role of the clinical mental health specialist is to provide comprehensive mental health and psychosocial support services, including individual and group counseling, psychotherapy, and case management. This position requires a strong understanding of evidence-based practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Service Provision:
    • Provide high-quality counseling and psychotherapy services to clients with mental health conditions and psychosocial issues.
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address client needs and goals.
  • Case Management:
    • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and services for clients.
    • Conduct thorough assessments to identify client needs and develop effective care plans.
  • Community-Based Activities:
    • Promote mental health and psychosocial well-being through community-based initiatives and activities.
    • Collaborate with local stakeholders to develop and implement programs that support mental health and psychosocial development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

For this role, we seek an experienced and highly skilled professional who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in psychology or related field.
  • Licensed therapist or counselor (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) in good standing.
  • At least 3 years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a non-profit or community-based setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Strong assessment and case management skills, with ability to develop and implement effective care plans.
