Software Quality Assurance Specialist

This role involves ensuring software applications meet high quality and functionality standards.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required for this position.

About the Role:

We seek a Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Islamabad office.

The ideal candidate will have a keen analytical mindset and experience with technical writing, functional testing on web-based and smartphone applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust test cases that are timely, detailed, and aligned with functional requirements/user stories.
  • Focusing on documentation, functional, integration testing, and defect tracking throughout the software development and testing life cycle.
  • Collaborating with Product Managers and Developers to ensure clear understanding, documentation, and necessary testing for requirement-related deliverables.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Solid technical skills with the ability to document test cases, requirements, and scripts for manual and automated testing.
  • Proven analytical ability and strong communication skills, including proficiency in both written and spoken English.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in a dynamic environment, with knowledge of Agile and Scrum methodology.
  • Knowledge of test-driven software development, feature extraction from user stories, preparation of test plans, and software testing/documentation.

  • Prepare and assist in providing meaningful reviews in creation of error logs, bug reports, and recommend fixes.

  • Conduct compatibility tests with other software programs, multiple operating systems, and environments, including smartphones.
