We are seeking an experienced Node.js Backend Developer to join our team at Tripshepherd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing scalable backend architecture, integrating external APIs, and developing resilient services.

Job Description
  • Design and develop scalable backend architecture utilizing Node.js, ensuring efficient and reliable service integration with external APIs.
  • Develop resilient services utilizing retry mechanisms, rate limiting, timeout strategies, and circuit breakers to manage third-party dependencies.
  • Utilize cloud functions (AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions), message queues (SQS, Pub/Sub), and API Gateways for seamless external communications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in integrating with REST, GraphQL, and Webhooks, as well as familiarity with authentication methods like OAuth2, API keys, and JWT.
  • Familiarity with caching technologies, including Redis and in-memory caches.
  • Experience with messaging/queueing systems, including Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Pub/Sub (preferred).
