Assistant Accountant Role

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with financial records, processing transactions, inventory management, budgeting, and reporting, ensuring the accuracy of our financial records.

  • Manage company accounts and vendors, maintaining accurate ledgers, invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and reports on time, accurately capturing all financial transactions.
  • Match bank statements, verify the correctness of financial entries, and implement cost-saving measures to reduce expenses.
  • Oversee inventory by tracking stock levels, organizing orders, and maintaining accurate stock management.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Manager and other colleagues to uphold financial processes and support the organization's overall financial well-being.
Key Responsibilities
  • Process company accounts and manage vendor relationships effectively.
  • Ensure up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports accurately, meeting deadlines.
  • Verify bank statements and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field, with strong accounting skills.
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the pharmaceuticals or manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
