Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging studies using a magnetic resonance device.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepares patients for MRI studies, positions them correctly and sets imaging parameters as required.
  • Selects appropriate imaging protocol for patient studies and performs quality assurance scans as needed.
  • Demonstrates ability to work cohesively as a team member within the department and collaborates with the MR physicist to test and troubleshoot pulse sequences.
  • Trains investigators on new and emergent pulse sequences and educates them about upcoming software and hardware changes.
  • Performs scheduled quality control procedures on MRI scanner and records results as required.
  • Prepares patients for intravenous injection of MR contrast agents and understands potential contraindications.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in Diagnostic Imaging is required.
  • Experience with MRI technology and multiple patient populations is essential.
  • Certifications such as BLS and ARRT (MR) are necessary.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to magnetic fields and possible liquid/gaseous substances in the event of a system quench.
