Pharmacy Service Manager

The role of a pharmacy coordinator is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of a hospital's pharmacy department. Our organization seeks an experienced and skilled individual to take on this key position.
The pharmacy coordinator will be responsible for:
- Managing pharmacy services, implementing policies and procedures
- Providing frontline team management and coaching to pharmacy staff
- Precepting and coordinating training for pharmacy students
- Maintaining job requirements such as interpreting physician orders, compounding, dispensing, patient education, controlled drug management, and inventory management of pharmaceutical supplies
- Developing relationships with colleagues within and outside the department
- Identifying problems in routine work, operational or clinical, and bringing them to management's attention with possible solutions
You should have:
- A bachelor degree in pharmacy or Pharm D or master's degree in pharmacy
- At least four to six years of experience in tertiary care hospital pharmacy, with two years at supervisory level
- Ability to interpret and understand prescriptions, formularies, and their pharmacological actions
- Demonstrated supervisory skills and ability to work with people of various backgrounds and training
