
Business Development Specialist

The Business Development Specialist plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and achieving results. This position requires a deep understanding of the market, distributors, and customers to foster collaborative relationships and seize opportunities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement territory plans to ensure optimal coverage, infrastructure, visibility, and service levels.
- Broaden business prospects by creating compelling cases around market-level opportunities and securing necessary investments and efforts.
- Establish and maintain long-term relationships with distributors to support growth ambitions.
- Effectively manage trade spends and deliver maximum results through innovative deployments.
- Ensure In-Store Visibility and execution meet MARS standards using available tools.
Leadership and Development:
- Lead, monitor, motivate, and drive performance by leveraging selling tools and incentive programs designed by the company.
- Coach Field Sales Associates on the Mars Sales & Distribution system and drive desired productivity levels.
- Implement structured training interventions to upskill Field Sales Associate teams as per agreed calendars.
- Recruit targeted numbers of Field Sales Associates within specific timelines.
Administration:
- Submit timely trade and distributor-related paperwork, including claims, competitor information, and other required documents.
- Coordinate effectively with Central Field Account and Distributors to ensure Plan, Do, Check, Act adherence and delivery schedules.
