We are seeking a highly motivated Lecturer - Optometry / Orthoptics to join our faculty, with a passion for delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic success of our students and enhance their knowledge in optometry and orthoptics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching assigned courses as per faculty workload policy, developing their own teaching and learning skills, and contributing to the planning of teaching programs. They will also employ innovative teaching strategies, facilitate experiential learning, challenge thinking, and foster debate among students.

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

* Supervising student projects, field trips, and placements
* Setting, marking, and assessing work and examinations
* Maintaining records of students' academic performance
* Executing mentoring of students as per the Riphah Mentoring Program
* Updating data in VLE and other required software

In addition to these responsibilities, the Lecturer will participate in activities of departmental and university committees as required and ensure that teaching content and methods of delivery align with RIU's mission. They will also respond to issues relating to subordinates and student needs.

To succeed in this role, you will have a strong academic background in optometry or a related field, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances. You will also be a team player, committed to working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
