Warehouse Operations Manager Job Description

A seasoned professional with 5+ years of experience in managing warehouse operations is required to oversee the receiving, handling, storing, grading, and packing activities within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to track multiple facets of our operations at any given time, and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

  • Ensure peak efficiency in the warehouse by supervising and organizing employees, establishing operation goals, and monitoring progress through key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and implement warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, resource utilization, inventory management, and shipping processes.
  • Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Perform financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends, and assessing the financial health of the company.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual account statements and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and vendor relations, promoting a customer-centric approach.
Job Requirements

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a warehouse lead role managing.
  • 5+ years of experience with textiles and garments.
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies, with a focus on safety and security protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities, with the ability to motivate and direct teams.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and QuickBooks, with experience in data analysis and financial reporting.
  • Business savvy with a strong financial background, with the ability to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Ability to work with all levels of company staff, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
  • Strong in developing and overseeing management information systems, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency gains.
