Job Title: Electrical Operations Manager

About the Role:

This is a key position for an experienced electrical engineer to manage and maintain our power house operations, ensuring efficient and reliable performance. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of high voltage/low voltage systems, generators, switchgears, transformers, and control schemes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily maintenance activities, including routine checks and repairs, to prevent equipment failure and ensure system reliability.
  • Oversee the implementation of electrical safety protocols and standards, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
  • Collaborate with technicians and contractors to plan and execute repairs and upgrades, minimizing downtime and optimizing resources.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend asset life and reduce costs.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in power house operations and electrical maintenance, with a proven track record in similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of HT/LT systems, generators, switchgears, transformers, protection devices, control wiring, and schemes.
  • Able to work under pressure and during emergencies, demonstrating adaptability and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Familiarity with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and IBM Maximo maintenance planning and inventory software or SAP/Fusion; experience with these tools is an advantage.
