Data Scientist for Credit Risk

FINCA Impact Finance is a global leader in responsible financial services, and we are looking for a talented Data Scientist to join our Credit Risk team. As a Data Scientist, you will play a critical role in developing credit risk scoring models and providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.

Your key responsibilities will include defining data modelling requirements, gathering and validating information, and developing data structures to support business insights and strategy. You will also work on big data environments, utilizing internal and external data sources, and support implementation teams on model testing and development.

Key Skills:

  • Experience with relational databases and statistical analysis
  • Strong programming skills in R and/or Python
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field
  • At least 4 years of experience in data science and analytics
