The Chief Information Security Officer is a vital position that oversees the development and implementation of a robust security strategy for various platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Information Security: Provide leadership, vision, and direction on information security to the team. Develop a comprehensive security strategy for diverse platforms.
  • Align Security Policies: Oversee and coordinate the alignment of security policies and procedures with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure Awareness Training: Ensure effective information security awareness trainings for staff members.
  • Maintain Compliance: Analyze and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Manage Key Functions: Manage key information security functions, including risk management, security operations, and other related activities.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Master's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Industry Certifications: Must have relevant industry-related certifications like CISM, CISSP, etc.
  • Knowledge of Industry Standards: Good knowledge of information security best practices/international standards and local banking regulations/practices.
  • Experience: Minimum 10-15 years' experience in the Financial Services Sector with preferably 8 years in the Banking sector in the field of Information Security Management.
  • Skills: Well-acquainted with security management tools and techniques.
