DevOps Lead Job Description

The DevOps Lead will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving the systems that power our development lifecycle.

This role requires a deep understanding of technical expertise, a hands-on mindset, and the ability to mentor and guide a growing DevOps function.

  • Lead the design and management of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
  • Oversee cloud environment provisioning, scaling, and maintenance.
  • Ensure system reliability through effective monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery.
  • Champion DevOps culture across engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to ensure seamless software delivery.
  • Maintain a proactive approach to performance tuning, cost optimization, and capacity planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Minimum 6 - 8 years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior-level position.

• Strong Windows and Linux administrative skills.

• Proven knowledge of CI/CD tools, Docker, Kubernetes, IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible), and version control systems (Git).

• Good understanding of DevSecOps principles, secrets management, and secure cloud operations.

• Experience leading root cause analysis, and reliability improvement efforts.

• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills; ability to work cross-functionally and drive technical discussions with non-technical stakeholders.
