At National Telephone Co-Op Association, we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our buildings department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direction and support to department employees, conducting performance reviews, and providing training to new and existing employees.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and be able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Additionally, they will have the ability to operate and maintain database records on a computer, understand and assist in maintaining climate control systems, alarm systems, and other heating and air conditioning units, and replace filters.
The Facilities Operations Manager will also be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on heat pumps, restoring and replacing units as needed, and maintaining office alarms after normal working hours. They will administer the monitoring and logging of daily mechanical equipment operations, maintain records of mechanical equipment, building maintenance equipment, grounds equipment, and maintenance and repair activities.
This is a challenging role that requires strong organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and multi-task. The ideal candidate will have previous management experience and technical training program in facility equipment management or equivalent work experience.
