About the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Assistant Tax Manager, where you will be responsible for managing tax practices and exemptions. You will have a full grasp of Sales Tax practices and exemptions, and be proficient in Income Tax Ordinance. Additionally, you will be engaged in obtaining various admissible exemptions under the law.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Have full grasp of Sales Tax practices and exemptions
  • Be proficient in Income Tax Ordinance and engaged in obtaining various admissible exemptions under the law
  • Have knowledge of various SROs relating to import and GST
  • Experience of obtaining refunds from Income Tax Department
  • Able to counter check the routine tax returns being submitted by the organization
  • Handle all tax audits
  • Perform complex tax research with the aim of providing benefit to the organization
  • Prepare tax planning
  • Assist accounting Staff members in client meetings where required
  • Review tax accruals
  • Analyze Tax authorities notices and drafts responses
  • Review Tax authorities notice responses prepared by other tax personnel
  • Delegate work to tax staff and supervises their work through a proper work plan
  • Make presentations to management with regard to any issue identified
  • Prepare Tax MIS and get incorporated in software
  • Updating senior management regarding any potential or actual change in tax environment through regular Tax Alerts with the aim of assessing the change effect for the organization or identifying a business opportunity
Requirements:
  • Be Part Qualified with any Chartered Accountancy Body & have work experience of any of BIG FOUR Firms
