Business Analyst Position

The Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring project objectives align with business goals. This involves analyzing stakeholder needs and translating them into clear technical requirements.

This is a remote position that requires the ability to translate complex business needs into clear, well-structured requirements. The successful candidate will drive the success of projects and contribute to the overall efficiency of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for Agile SDLC projects.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, and QA teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Utilize JIRA for backlog management, sprint planning, and tracking progress.
  • Maintain documentation in Confluence, ensuring up-to-date requirements, workflows, and system designs.
  • Collaborate with development teams leveraging Bitbucket for version control and code repository management.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups as needed.
  • Conduct impact assessments and gap analyses to identify business opportunities and process improvements.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure seamless communication.
  • Provide support in testing efforts, including writing test cases and validating deliverables.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst working in Agile SDLC environments.
  • Proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket.
  • Self Starter: Takes the tasks and does what is necessary to complete them without direction.
  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
  • Experience with process mapping, workflow documentation, and business analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or a related field, OR 5+ years of equivalent experience without a degree.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with API integrations and technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
