International Student Advisor Role

This role is pivotal in guiding students toward their academic and career aspirations. As an advisor, you will provide personalized counseling, information, and support to help them make informed decisions about studying abroad.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Counsel students individually to understand their goals, interests, and aspirations.
  2. Offer tailored guidance on selecting suitable universities and programs based on each student's qualifications and preferences.
  3. Support students through the university application process, including creating a list of target universities, completing application forms, and organizing necessary documents.
  4. Provide information on admission requirements, deadlines, and standardized tests (e.g., TOEFL, IELTS, GRE).
  5. Advise students and their families on financial matters related to studying abroad, including tuition fees, scholarships, and living expenses.
  6. Explore funding options and help students prepare essential financial documentation for visa applications.
  7. Guide students through the visa application process, ensuring they have the required documentation and information.
  8. Stay up-to-date with visa regulations for various countries and assist students in preparing for visa interviews.
  9. Prepare students for the transition to foreign universities, including cultural adjustments and academic expectations.
  10. Organize engaging pre-departure orientations and information sessions.
  11. Maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and other education-related organizations to stay updated on program offerings and opportunities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, BBA, B-Com, BA, or a related field (a master's degree is a plus).
  • Previous experience in international education counseling, student advising, or a related field is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of foreign universities and their admission processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Empathy and cultural sensitivity to effectively support students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in digital media management is a bonus.
