Educational Leadership in Islamic Studies

Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified candidate to fill the position of Associate Professor of Islamic Studies. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching and developing curricula for various academic programs, conducting research and publishing papers in recognized journals, supervising PhD / M.Phil Thesis students, and contributing to strategic planning within the department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Teach and develop curricula for various academic programs, ensuring alignment with the University's vision, mission, values, and objectives.
  • Research and Publication: Conduct research and publish papers in recognized journals, enhancing the department's reputation and academic excellence.
  • Student Supervision: Supervise PhD / M.Phil Thesis students, providing guidance on their research and helping them achieve academic success.
  • Departmental Contributions: Participate in departmental meetings, contribute to strategic planning, and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve departmental goals.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a strong background in Islamic Studies, extensive experience in teaching, research, and academic administration. A Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from a reputable university is required, along with a minimum of 10 years of overall experience or 5 years post-Ph.D. experience. A strong publication record in HEC/Indexing Journals is also essential.
