Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer - Security Operations Specialist

Description:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing the security environment, identifying and responding to potential threats, and implementing solutions to improve the security posture of our organization.

About the Role:

  • This is a mid-senior level position that requires a deep understanding of cybersecurity concepts, threat analysis, and incident response. The ideal candidate will have experience with SIEM solutions, vulnerability scanning tools, and data loss protection.
  • The successful candidate will work closely with our Security Operations Center team to develop and implement security strategies, policies, and procedures to protect our organization from cyber threats.
  • Responsibilities will include developing and maintaining security scripts in PowerShell or Python, performing network stream analysis using PCAP data and packet reconstruction, and executing on defined Incident Response Frameworks and Handling Procedures.
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, fluency in English, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, preferably in a security operations center role.
  • Deep technical knowledge of system security, SIEM implementation, and TCP/IP networking.
  • Experience with several technology competencies including SIEM, vulnerability scanning tools (Nexpose, Metasploit), File Integrity Monitoring, and Data Loss Protection.
  • Demonstrated expertise with development of security scripts in PowerShell or Python, network stream analysis using PCAP data and packet reconstruction, and experience executing on defined Incident Response Frameworks and Handling Procedures.
  • Current knowledge of security threats, solutions, security tools, and network technologies.
  • An understanding or proficiency in information security and compliance regulations (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR).
  • Excellent documentation skills and ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in an IT-related discipline.
  • In lieu of certifications, at least 2 years of information security, auditing, or risk management experience.
