Power Plant Maintenance Assistant

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist senior maintenance professionals in maintaining power plant equipment including waste heat recovery plants.
  • Receive consumables such as diesel oil and lube oil.
  • Participate in maintenance activities during breakdowns emergencies and shutdowns.
  • Reduce downtime of the plant and its associated equipment.
  • Perform operational duties when needed assisting shift supervisors and chiller operators.
  • Maintain safety standards and utilize appropriate safety equipment.
  • Assist in preparing an inventory of spare parts and consumables.
  • Monitor plant performance and equipment conditions.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of the Power Plant and waste heat recovery plant.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • At least 6 years of experience in power plant maintenance with at least 4 years in a technical assistant role.
  • Sound technical knowledge of gas and diesel engines generators cooling towers and heat recovery systems.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with power generation systems.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work effectively in a rotating shift environment.
