Job Opportunity

This role is focused on supporting the implementation of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support activities in the field. The successful candidate will work closely with field teams to provide support and guidance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Implement daily program activities
  • Oversee and organize the work of MHPSS case management staff, including team members, social workers, psychotherapists, and psychiatrists working in the field
  • Recruit and supervise IMC MHPSS field staff
  • Ensure proper planning and logistics for field activities
  • Conduct regular meetings with MHPSS staff to discuss progress and challenges
  • Collect data and reports from field activities
  • Represent the organization in interagency and local coordination meetings related to mental health and psychosocial support
  • Organize technical meetings for case management staff
  • Visit PHCCs/centers supported by the organization to monitor activities and communicate with partners
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of psychotropic medications
  • Conduct mental health needs assessments in the area
Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field or equivalent experience
  • Advanced degree/qualification in MHPSS or Public Health is desired
  • At least 4 years of previous relevant experience in mental health activities and programs, including NGO experience
  • Familiarity with IASC MHPSS guidelines in emergency settings
  • Strong organizational and managerial skills, with ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure high-quality work
  • Fluency in spoken English and relevant local languages
  • Good communication, teamwork skills, and ability to work in multicultural and multidisciplinary environments
  • Emotional maturity and agility in working in fast-paced environments
  • Computer literacy with experience using databases and Microsoft Office
