About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Merchandising Professional to oversee product development, manage costing, and negotiate prices with vendors.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring the sampling approval process, handling lab dips, bulk color, and quality submissions to guarantee accurate execution.

You will follow up on Work-in-Progress (WIP) regularly and ensure on-time delivery reporting.

In this role, you will collaborate with buyers and suppliers to negotiate prices, quantities, and timescales while building constructive relationships with customers and channel partners.

Key responsibilities include coordinating with the compliance team for Factory Evaluation (FE) renewals and factory corrective action plans, handling ad-hoc projects related to vendor compliance and documentation.

Additionally, you will update internal customers on production and shipment status of garments.

Responsibilities also include managing operational activities from proto sample development, costing, production tracking, fabric and trim development, and WIP updates.

You will communicate order details and requirements to suppliers/production units, ensuring quantity, quality, order specifications, and delivery dates are met.

Negotiating prices with suppliers as designated by senior merchandisers or managers is also an essential part of this role.

Track critical paths, forecast delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.

Identify and diagnose production problems, working with suppliers to present alternatives to buyers and senior management.

Oversee production in assigned factories, liaising with Quality Assurance (QA) departments and factory management teams for quality, inspections, and delivery deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, or a related field.
  • At least 4-5 years of proven experience in merchandising.
  • Knowledge of Socks manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim, and print techniques.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for product presentation and visual aesthetics.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest merchandising trends and best practices.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across diverse teams.
  • Analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail-oriented and meticulous.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe products.
