We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our dynamic team in the role of Product Acquisition Specialist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough market research to identify high-potential products for import, evaluating suppliers, and performing detailed analysis to ensure that our products remain competitively priced and meet evolving market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Research & Sourcing: Conduct in-depth research of global markets to identify high-demand products that align with business needs and consumer trends. Establish strong relationships with reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable terms for product procurement.
  2. Market Analysis & Evaluation: Perform comprehensive market analysis to understand customer preferences, pricing strategies, and competition. Utilize this information to identify pricing opportunities and develop competitive pricing models for imported products.
  3. Costing & Profitability Analysis: Analyze import costs, including shipping, customs duties, taxes, and other relevant fees, to ensure profitability. Provide detailed reports on cost structures, pricing strategies, and margin projections.
  4. Vendor Relationship Management: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers. Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers to ensure product quality, timely delivery, and compliance with company standards.
  5. Competitive Intelligence: Continuously monitor competitors' products, pricing, and market trends. Use competitive insights to adjust sourcing strategies and maintain our products' competitiveness in the market.
  6. Sales & Market Forecasting: Provide actionable insights based on market research, helping to predict sales potential and product demand. Collaborate with sales teams to align product offerings with market needs.
  7. Reporting & Presentation: Prepare detailed reports on product feasibility, market trends, supplier evaluations, and cost analysis. Present findings and strategic recommendations to management for informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  2. 2+ years of experience in product sourcing, market research, or international trade.
  3. Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  5. Experience with market research tools is a plus.
  6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Desired Skills:

  1. Knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping logistics, and import/export operations.
  2. Familiarity with cost modeling and pricing strategies.
  3. Previous experience in sourcing products and managing vendor relationships.
  4. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
