Mobile 2D Game Developer

">Key Responsibilities:

  • We're seeking an experienced and skilled Mobile 2D Game Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on mobile platforms and be proficient in game engines such as Unity 2D, Godot, or Cocos2d-x.

  • The successful candidate will develop and maintain high-quality 2D games for iOS and Android devices using industry-standard tools and technologies.

  • Responsibilities include implementing game logic, character movement, interactions, enemy AI, item systems, level triggers, and more.

  • The developer will create and integrate intuitive mobile-first UI systems including menus, HUDs, overlays, and touch controls.

  • They will ensure the game runs smoothly on a wide range of mobile devices with varying screen sizes and performance capabilities.

  • The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, artists, producers, and QA to deliver cohesive gameplay experiences.

  • The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies is essential.

Requirements:

  • At least 2-5 years of experience in 2D game development, specifically focusing on mobile platforms.

  • Proficiency in one or more game engines used for 2D mobile development (e.g., Unity 2D, Godot).

  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C# (for Unity), GDScript (for Godot), or C++/JavaScript.

  • Familiarity with sprite animation systems, tweening libraries, 2D physics, and tilemap systems.

  • Experience integrating mobile-specific SDKs (analytics, ads, IAPs, push notifications, etc.).

  • Good understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and best practices.

  • Experience working in a version-controlled environment (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
