Job Overview:

As a Cloud Operations and Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of our cloud and on-premises systems. This includes troubleshooting hardware, storage, and network issues, as well as automating routine system tasks and ensuring proper monitoring and alerting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, storage, and network issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Automate routine system tasks using programming languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Implement effective monitoring and alerting strategies using tools like Azure Monitor, SCOM, or third-party platforms to ensure prompt incident response.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and support teams to ensure smooth deployments and secure environments.

System Administration:

  • Manage and monitor Azure infrastructure, including VMs, VNets, load balancers, Azure AD, and storage accounts.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Administer Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and cost management tools.

On-Premises System Operations:

  • Maintain Windows and/or Linux servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.
  • Manage virtualization environments (e.g., Hyper-V or VMware).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of cloud and on-premises system administration principles.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and automation tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
  • Knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Monitor, SCOM, and third-party platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
