Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

The Cloud Infrastructure Specialist plays a pivotal role in designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure on leading platforms such as AWS and Azure.

This position ensures the security, scalability, and optimization of cloud resources while implementing best practices for governance, networking, automation, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services on AWS and Azure.
  • Managing cloud operations, including patch management, virtual machines, storage, Azure SQL Database, DNS, AVD, and capacity reporting.
  • Designing and implementing high-availability (HA) cloud architectures across multiple regions.
  • Managing multi-account cloud environments, including governance via AWS Organizations and Azure Management Groups.

Additional responsibilities include automating cloud account setup and governance using AWS Control Tower and Azure Blueprints, enforcing organizational policies and tagging strategies, and implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and Jenkins.

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in a cloud engineering role.

Desirable skills include expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms, strong knowledge of multi-account governance, automation, and security, as well as hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Bicep, or Azure ARM Templates.

Technical Skills: Expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms. Strong knowledge of multi-account governance, automation, and security in cloud environments. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools. Proficiency in cloud cost optimization strategies. Strong understanding of cloud networking and hybrid cloud architectures. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Bicep, or Azure ARM Templates.

Functional Skills: Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail. Ability to collaborate across teams and work with multiple stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
