Production Planning and Scheduling Specialist

The Production Planning and Scheduling Lead plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, ensuring seamless production planning and execution.

  • Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) by leveraging demand forecasts, capacity assessments, and material availability insights.
  • Monitor production output against plans on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, implementing adjustments as necessary to maintain optimal efficiency.
  • Collaborate with material planners to guarantee raw materials and components availability, streamlining supply chain operations.
  • Forge close ties with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to synchronize plans with business objectives.
  • Lead or participate in Strategic & Operational Planning processes.
  • Review Annual Operating Plan volume and track available capacities month-on-month during Supply reviews.
  • Communicate production challenges and potential delays to stakeholders promptly.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Generate and present Key Performance Indicator reports such as MPS, Schedule Attainment (MPS), Capacity Requirement Forecast, and On-Time-In-Full (OTIF).
Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 4-5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain roles, preferably in Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG).
  • Proven expertise with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  • Experience in fast-paced, multi-product environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Just-In-Time (JIT), and other production strategies.
