Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Category Manager to lead the development and implementation of our product categories. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Supply Chain Management, logistics, or Business Administration, with expertise in analyzing data and insights to determine industry and consumer trends.

The successful candidate will be responsible for devising long-term development strategies for product categories, developing exit strategies for unsuccessful products, and fostering trust relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of services.

In addition, the Category Manager will be responsible for placing appropriate orders to ensure product availability that meets consumer demands, determining the positioning of a product category to maximize visibility, and liaising with marketing teams to determine competitive pricing and promotional activities of a product category.

The Category Manager will also collaborate with buyers and merchandisers to expand product categories, make forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory, and assume responsibility for budget development and revenue for category.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with software such as Candela and Abuzar.
  • A knack for negotiation and networking, with strong business development skills.
  • An understanding of invoices and taxation.
  • The ability to gather and analyze large data, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Solid judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities.
