Data Collection Role in Public Health

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Data Collector. The role will involve collecting and recording data from community members to support the development of public health systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen and recruit participants to ensure diverse and representative samples
  • Administer surveys and questionnaires to collect quantitative and qualitative data
  • Maintain accurate records of data collection activities, including field notes and study materials
  • Transcribe qualitative interviews while upholding participant confidentiality
  • Coordinate with participants to schedule interviews and manage appointments
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized institution
  • At least one year of experience in community-based data collection
  • Strong understanding of field research protocols, including participant consent and ethical guidelines
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and data entry platforms
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse community members
  • Fluency in local languages such as Urdu and Sindhi
  • Detailed and organized approach with excellent time-management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams

The department comprises five operational sections: Epidemiology & biostatistics, Health policy & management, Population & reproductive health, Environmental health & climate change, and non-communicable diseases & mental health.
