Ecommerce Operations Manager

The Ecommerce Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall performance of an online ecommerce store.

This role involves a combination of strategic planning, technical expertise, and marketing acumen to enhance the customer experience, drive sales, and ensure seamless operation of the ecommerce platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ecommerce Strategy and Planning
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase online sales, customer engagement, and brand visibility.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competition to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align ecommerce goals with overall business objectives.
  • Website Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operation of the ecommerce website, ensuring it is user-friendly, functional, and up-to-date.
  • Manage product listings, descriptions, images, and pricing to optimize product visibility and conversions.
  • Regularly review and update website content, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • User Experience Optimization
  • Continuously enhance user experience by improving site navigation, search functionality, and checkout processes.
  • Implement best practices for mobile responsiveness, page load speed, and overall website performance.
  • Monitor and analyze user behavior using web analytics tools to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to execute online advertising campaigns, email marketing, and social media strategies.
  • Optimize product listings and website content for search engines (SEO) to improve organic search visibility.
  • Monitor and analyze effectiveness of marketing efforts and make data-driven adjustments.
  • Inventory Management
  • Coordinate with inventory management team to ensure accurate product availability and stock levels.
  • Implement strategies to minimize stockouts and overstock situations, optimizing inventory turnover.
  • Customer Support
  • Provide excellent customer support by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and issues related to online orders.
  • Facilitate returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
  • Generate regular reports on ecommerce performance metrics, including sales, conversion rates, traffic sources, and customer demographics.
  • Use data insights to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Job SpecificationQualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Ecommerce, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in managing and optimizing ecommerce platforms.
  • Strong understanding of online consumer behavior and ecommerce best practices.
  • Proficiency in ecommerce platforms (WooCommerce) and web content management systems.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies, SEO, and web analytics tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
