Agile Product Delivery

The Product Owner role drives the delivery of high-value features through effective collaboration and communication with the development team.

About the Position
  • This role is responsible for leading the development team in delivering high-value features that meet business goals and customer needs.
  • The ideal candidate is an experienced Agile practitioner with strong technical understanding and leadership skills who can drive results and build strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
  • Backlog Management and Prioritization
    • Develop and maintain the product backlog, ensuring it reflects the overall product vision and priorities.
    • Create clear and concise user stories, including acceptance criteria, to guide the development team.
    • Maintain a balance between technical debt, feature enhancements, and customer requests.
  • Collaboration with Development Team
    • Foster a collaborative environment with the development team, promoting open communication and trust.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to the team during the development process.
    • Make informed decisions about scope changes or trade-offs to ensure project success.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Engage with stakeholders, including customers, sales, and customer success teams, to gather input and inform backlog priorities.
    • Communicate sprint progress, risks, and deliverables to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
    Delivery and Iteration
    • Lead the development team in delivering high-quality, incremental value with each sprint.
    • Validate completed features against acceptance criteria and approve for release.
    • Gather feedback post-release to identify areas for improvement and iteration.
    Technical Understanding
    • Collaborate with developers to understand technical constraints and opportunities.
    • Balance technical feasibility with business value during planning and development.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to drive results and build strong relationships.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to navigate complex technical issues.
    • Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Confluence, or other Agile management platforms.
    • Understanding of software development processes and technologies.
