Job Summary

The position of Financial Manager involves overseeing the financial operations of an organization. Key responsibilities include preparing and interpreting monthly management accounts and annual reports, assessing and managing risks, reconciling balance sheets, analysing margins, monitoring cash flow statements and predicting future trends, conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction, developing external relationships, liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out, arranging new sources of finance and debt facilities, and ensuring that all transactional, payroll and VAT/taxation requirements are met.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess an MBA(Finance) or equivalent certification such as ACCA/CIMA/ACA. A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experience is also required. Preference is given to candidates from NGO or PHARMACEUTICALS industry backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and interpret monthly management accounts and annual reports to inform business decisions.

  2. Assess and manage risks to minimize potential losses and maximize returns.

  3. Reconcile balance sheets to ensure accuracy and consistency.

  4. Analyse margins to identify areas for improvement and optimize profitability.

  5. Monitor cash flow statements and predict future trends to inform strategic planning.

  6. Conduct regular reviews and evaluations to identify opportunities for cost-reduction and improve efficiency.

  7. Develop and maintain external relationships with key stakeholders, including solicitors, bankers, and Inland Revenue.

  8. Liaise with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out and that all regulatory requirements are met.

  9. Arrange new sources of finance and debt facilities to support business growth and expansion.

  10. Ensure that all transactional, payroll and VAT/taxation requirements are met to avoid penalties and fines.
